Makos is proud to offer
our annual Spring Stroke Clinic, specifically designed
for the summer swimmer. MAKOS is a year-round age-group swim team that
practices at the Miami University Recreational Center in Oxford.
The stroke clinic will be five weeks in duration, beginning Monday,
April 19th through June 2nd, with no practice the week of May 10 - 14
and May 31st. Practices will be held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from
6:00 - 7:00 pm. The cost is
$125. Your family does not need to be a member of the REC Center, so
there is no additional facility cost. The professional coaches will
assist your swimmer with learning proper technique of the four strokes
along with starts and turns. The additional time in the water will
help the swimmers be better prepared for their first summer meet.
Prerequisite: Knowledge
of all 4 strokes (Free, Back, Breast, Fly) is required. Geared toward
ages 7 & up. If you are unsure if your child qualifies, sign them up
and bring them to the first night of practice. Coaches will take a look
and make sure they will be safe in the group.
On-Line Registration
is encouraged.
Payment is not required at the time of On-Line Registration, so register
early.
